She's actually smiling. She's special. I sometimes question her intelligence.
A few weeks ago, we had a blizzard here, and there was snow piled against my apartment windows. This posed a problem for the kitten, who normally likes to sit and watch look down on the mere mortals on the street (we're on the 2nd floor). In one of the windows, the snow was too high for her to see over. Find another window, maybe? No. This was her solution.
I'm not even sure what was appealing or comforting about this pose, seeing as she didn't get much higher than she would have if she just sat normally. You might think she only did this for a few seconds and gave up. But, no, she stayed this way for about 5 minutes. Before realizing she, despite her best efforts, still couldn't really see out of that window.
The snow eventually melted. I'm sure Bailey thought she had something to do with it.
This reminds me of an equally uncomfortable spot her father tried when we were playing apples to apples. I think it involved putting the papason horizontal and laying on his stomach on it. I don't know how someone so smart could think it would be comfy.he didn't last long in that position, despite being "commited".
